
Professional Experience
Board-Certified Emergency Physician with almost 18 years of continuous full-time active clinical practice. Clinical experience includes trauma centers, academic institutions, community settings, freestanding EDs and rural hospitals. Assistant Director Litigation Support, and initial SWAT case reviewer for TEAMHealth, the largest national physician staffing agency in the country. Experienced teacher. Fellowship trained by the American Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM) on subjects such as hypothermia, drowning, frostbite, heatstroke, altitude illness and bites from poisonous animals. Currently a candidate for a Diploma in Dive & Marine Medicine (DiDMM) with a further focus on dive injuries such as decompression sickness a.k.a. "the bends". Co-inventor of a novel endotracheal device (RSI Prime, LLC; patent pending) that incorporates an adapted carbon dioxide detector with a modified bougie (an adjunct for difficult airways). Experienced expert witness at both deposition and trial.

Medicolegal Experience
Assistant Director of Litigation Support - TeamHealth 2026-present
Provides strategic and operational leadership for the SWAT
program, supervising all SWAT reviewers and overseeing, onboarding and retention. Establishes quality standards and review process to ensure timely, high-quality SWAT reports used in case triage, settlement strategy and trial readiness.
TEAMHealth SWAT Reviewer 2024-present
Initial medical malpractice case reviewer for the largest national physician staffing agency in the country. Responsible for early-stage evaluation of alleged deviations from the standard of care, causation analysis, and documentation review, with findings used to inform settlement strategy and trial determination.
Emergency Medicine Expert Witness 2023-present
Independent expert witness providing standard-of-care analysis, case review and deposition/ trial testimony, including federally compliant expert reports. Over 80 case reviews across Emergency Department, prehospital/EMS, and environmental injury matters.
